Blessing Health System employs almost 300 physicians and advanced practice providers.  Blessing is the largest medical provider serving a 300,000+ population region composed of West Central Illinois, Northeast Missouri, and Southeast Iowa.  The System operates Blessing Hospital, a 349-bed regional referral center in Quincy, Illinois, (population 45,000) and Illini Community Hospital, a 25-bed critical access facility in Pittsfield, Illinois, (population 4,200).  Additionally, there are a number of outlying clinics throughout our region.

About Quincy, IL

Quincy, Illinois, is located on high limestone bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River near the westernmost point of Illinois and is renowned for its natural beauty, preservation of its exceptional stock of Victorian Era homes, and its highly developed programs in the arts.  The community has a highly diverse economic and employment base and consistently has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Illinois.  Quincy has been cited as one of the 50 top small arts communities in the U.S. and recently ranked in the top 10 best hometowns in America. 

Quincy offers excellent public and parochial schools, a public 2-year community college, a private 4-year university. Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences was among the first accredited nursing schools in the nation and currently offers programs in nursing, respiratory care, radiologic sciences, and medical laboratory technology. Fine dining, expansive and well-developed parks, and abundant recreational facilities are all nearby. 

Quincy is located two hours from St. Louis, Missouri and Lambert International Airport.  We are three and a half hours from Kansas City, Missouri and four hours from Chicago.  Daily flights connect Quincy’s Baldwin Field with Chicago O’Hare International Airport.  Amtrak provides two round trips daily to Chicago.
