Kalispell is the county seat for Flathead County’s 90,000 residents, but the cities of Whitefish and Columbia Falls help comprise the primary population of the area. The Flathead Valley also encompasses a handful of smaller communities that offer many amenities while balanced with a friendly, home-town appeal. Area public schools and Flathead Valley Community College provide great educational resources for kiddos and the life-long learner.

RECREATION

Considered the gateway to Glacier National Park, this area contains endless natural treasures and adventures. With topography formed by glaciers, there are numerous rivers, lakes and mountain ranges to explore. During the summer take advantage of fly fishing, golfing, river  rafting, hiking, mountaineering, sailing and more. For the winter months enjoy two local ski hills, cross-country skiing, winter festivals and handcrafted spirits at neighborhood breweries and distilleries.
