RiverPeak Health offers local, independent, nonprofit healthcare in Wyoming

Riverton Medical District is a new, independent nonprofit hospital opening in late 2026 to restore essential services for the 22,000 people of Fremont County and the Wind River Reservation. For nearly a decade, our community has been without labor and delivery, local surgery, and reliable emergency care—patients have had to travel hours or be flown out for even routine procedures. Backed by over $2 million in community donations, the largest USDA community facilities loan ever awarded in Wyoming, and a strong affiliation with Billings Clinic, we are bringing comprehensive care back to Riverton. The hospital will feature Level III trauma services, 24/7 surgery, labor and delivery suites, orthopedic care, and integrated outpatient services, creating more than 140 jobs and over $25 million in annual local economic impact. Locally owned and governed, this project is not only about building a hospital but about restoring a lifeline for families, neighbors, and future generations in rural Wyoming.
