PRACTICE SETTING

Sanford Clinic East Grand Forks currently has a staff of thirty including 5 family medicine physicians, 1 nurse practitioner and 1 physician assistant as well as support staff including radiology, ultrasound and laboratory technicians.  The practice is a shared practice concept.  A variety of outreach services are provided by Sanford physicians from Sanford Clinic Fargo.  Currently there is no weekend clinic.

There are several other health care facilities and providers in the metropolitan community of Grand Forks, ND and East Grand Forks, MN.  Altru Hospital, located in Grand Forks is a licensed 350-bed facility with multiple ICU rooms, Ob/Gyn (13 birthing suites), ORs/Same Day Surgery rooms and an emergency center.

East Grand Forks, Minnesota is a community of 8,300, located in northwestern Minnesota on the border with neighboring Grand Forks, North Dakota, a community of 50,000.  East Grand Forks is characterized by small town friendliness and hosts several community events including 'Catfish Days' and the 'Frosty Bobber' fishing tournaments, 'Heritage Days', and an 'Arts and Crafts' exposition each year.  Downtown features a variety of riverfront restaurants and convenient shopping in the mall and you'll find public art cleverly scattered throughout the area.
