It is a city-owned critical access hospital run and managed by Saint Luke’s, and Joint Commission-accredited. Hedrick offers comprehensive care, including a 24-hour Emergency Department staffed by board-certified physicians, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing, surgery, rehabilitation services, a Women’s Center featuring 3D mammography, an Intensive Care Unit featuring eICU, a specialty clinic, and primary care offices. Chillicothe lies in the heart of a rich agricultural section of the state 90 miles northeast of Kansas City and is the largest community in north central Missouri. Known as the Home of Sliced Bread, Chillicothe’s population is currently around 9,000 with Livingston County having a total population of close to 15,000.
