University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital (UH Rainbow) ranks among the nation's top 50 children's hospitals in all 11 pediatric specialties, five of which are in the top 25 in U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings for 2024-25. UH Rainbow is #3 in Ohio and #3 in the Midwest in U.S. News' 2024-2025 Best Children's Hospitals rankings.

In total, UH Rainbow ranks among the nation's top 50 children's hospitals in all 11 medical and surgical specialties including neonatology (9), diabetes & endocrinology (12), orthopedics (13), pulmonology & lung surgery (15), urology (24), cancer (30), nephrology (30), neurology & neurosurgery (35), and cardiology & heart surgery (42), and gastroenterology & GI surgery (42). UH Rainbow is also in the top 50 for behavioral health, a specialty added to this year's rankings that is not specifically ranked numerically.

For more than 125 years, UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital has been dedicated solely to the care of children.  As one of the most renowned children's hospitals and a principal referral center for Ohio and the region, the 244- bed hospital is home to 1,300 pediatric specialists and 40 special care centers including centers of excellence in minimally invasive surgery, oncology, neonatology, neurology and endocrinology.
